Iphone goes healthy

Wed Dec 12, 2012 by Dave Phillips

More and more companies are looking at ways to use the power of your smart phone, by adding a few attachments like the Tinke Wellness Monitor ($120), you can detect your heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels and respiratory rate. This little device simply plugs into the bottom of your smart phone, by placing your thumb on the sensing platform it displays your details on the included iphone app.

It also tracks these measurements over time to give you a larger picture of changes in your fitness score and stress levels. For those of you starting a fitness program it allows you to keep track of your vital signs and gives you an idea of your progress.

These type of devices really are the wave of the future as more and more developers figure out how to use the power of your mobile device.  Watch for a full video review of the Tinke on TPI TV's technology channel
