The Pinnacle Distance Team joins Dave and Greg on this episode of The Golf Fitness Academy presented by Titleist. Jason Zuback, 4-time Re/Max World Long Drive Champion, will show us his lower body workout while Brian Pavlet, 1997 Re/Max World Long Drive Champion, demonstrates how to develop a strong core. Pinnacle Distance Team member, Mike Moulton, will discuss the upper body and how to develop power in the area and 2004 Senior Division Re/Max World Long Drive Champion Bobby Wilson will show how even those over the age of 45 can still develop power in their swing.

Lower Body (Jason Zuback)
Squats
- “King of all leg exercises”
- Use a physioball to learn proper technique and increase flexibility
Single Leg Squat
Hamstring Bridges
- Uses hamstrings and glutes – two of the main drivers of a golf ball
Front Squats
- Safest to keep the weight in front of you
Jump Squats
TIP 1: Pinnacle Distance Team member Vince Howell demonstrates a great exercise to strengthen the upper body and core muscles which will increase “explosion” when hitting a golf ball.
Core (Brian Pavlet)
Some golfers use the core muscles more than the lower body to generate their power
- Front Plank
- Side Plank
- Diagonal Chop
- Horizontal Chop
TIP 2: Pinnacle Distance Team member Tom Roskos shows you a drill to improve shoulder turn and speed which helps you turn your body through the ball and increase distance.
Upper Body (Mike Moulton)
- Mike has recovered from two shoulder surgeries in two years
- Focus on triceps, pectorals, lats, and the rhomboid (muscle between shoulder blades)
- Tricep Pushdowns
- Lat Pulldowns
- Bent over Rows
- Chest Pass
Over-45 Program (Bobby Wilson)
Back supports everything in the coil of the golf swing
Weighted Club Swings
- Alternate with lighter club
