What Are the Most Frequently Asked Questions Concerning Scholarships?Schol
CoachWe have a young lady who is an outstanding high school golfer and was wondering what we needed to do in her recruitment. So far we have written letters to different colleges and are in the process of sending out some film of her and some different newspaper articles about her. Can you help us out and tell us what else we need to do.Thanks
I would like to eventually shoot for the PGA tour and want to make a summer tournament schedule that leads in that direction. Is there a web site that could help me? Is there any others you could suggest besides the State Amateur and US Amateur?ThanksMatt
HelloI own and operate a golf specific conditioning business. I am starting to work with more and more junior players. I am nationally ranked amateur myself and have had the opportunity to play with many of the countries top collegiate golfers. One of my desires for my junior players is to help them earn college scholarships. What advice would you give to help me build relationships with college golf coaches? Thanks for you input.Kindly William MitchellPeak Golf PerformanceEquipping golfers beyond equipmentpeakgolfperformance@mac.comwilliam@peakgolfper.compeakgolfper.com
Dear CoachMy son is 14 years old with a 9 hcp. He is playing in 8-10 'Top 50' junior tour events over the summer and will also be playing on his high school 'varsity' golf team this spring. In addition to these competitive golf events what other golf activities would you recommend he participate in to increase his chances for earning a college scholarship?Steve W.Michigan
I played high school golf years ago and wasn't very good at the time. Im 26 now and im going to college after my military service. My game is getting better day by day and im shooting in the low 70's. I have been trying to talk to my junior college coach about a try out for the team. It seems like I can't even get a look. Is my age a factor in this? Is there another way to get my foot in the door?

What Is a Typical Week Like in the Life of a College Golfer?
I am a freshman in my first year of high school golf and I am about a 5 handicap as of now. I am an honor roll student with a gpa of 10.5 on a scale of 11. I plan to play golf through high school and into college. What can I do to put me ahead of other golfers trying to get into the college golf scene? I am a sophore in high school and a good golfer but my score have been higher than normal for me lately because I am working on getting my swing on-plane and fix many of my swing faults. My scores will get better but it will take time. I am afraid I do not have any time to fix my swing because I need to produce results NOW. My GPA is 4.125 and my scores are high 70's. What would you recommend me to do?
I am a scratch golfer and one of the best golfers in high school in Massachusetts at 15 years old and i would like to play college golf . What are the main things i need to do to get prepared or at least noticed.
I really could have asked this question to any of you but I think as a man responsible to more than himself and his players athletic department alums etc. you probably deal with this the most. I was a high school standout even though I didn't play until my junior year had some success in college and am floundering on the Cal Player's Tour. I work at the game and I understand my swing. However lately it just feels like a shotgun approach where I just practice everything. How do you work with your players on GOAL SETTING? I know where I want to end up and how to do logistically but as far as an efficient method I'm in the left rough all day. Thank you in advanceAaron Falk

As a Rising Senior is it too late to be recruited?
I play most of my tournaments in the FCWT golf tour. I am sure you are familiar wit this. Right now I'm preparing myself for my senior year at high school and my final year on both the FCWT and AJGA which I need to participate in more tournaments this year obviously. My question is 'I live in Florida and how can I show college coaches that I am talented enough to play D-1 other than tournament finishes?' Thank you for your time. Sincerely Nicolo Ragazzi
