Golf MTRx uses an iPhone holster to secure the iPhone to your hips, then using the iphone app inconjuntion with sensors in your phone it measures data on hip speed, accleration, deceleration and tempo during your swing. This data can then be compared to touring professionals or used during practice and exercise programs to determine if the things you are working are actually improving or not.
As an instructor it is always great to use feedback devices with my students as I can monitor their improvement to see how things are progressing. It is also great for the student as they can work on their swings and see their own progression. A lot of work has gone into the application to try and give you clear and consistant feedback. As with all technology make sure you clearly understand what your working on and get feedback from your PGA or TPI Certified professional.
