Chris Wendt
Mr. Christopher Wendt is currently a Lab Manager/Instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Winston-Salem State University. Mr. Wendt received his M.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Biomechanics from East Carolina University, where he also received his B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology.
During his studies, Mr. Wendt worked in the Biomechanics Laboratory at East Carolina University, working with their Biomechanics and Physical Therapy departments on research in gait, balance, and a research project on the effects of whole body vibration and strength training on lower muscle strength and biomechanics in older adults. Additionally, his primary interest was in 2D and 3D kinematic and kinetic analysis of the golf swing. While conducting research at ECU, Mr. Wendt served as a TA in the graduate school, gaining valuable experience as an exercise and golf instructor.
As the current Lab Manager of the WSSU/Wake Forest Human Performance and Biodynamics Lab, Chris utilizes a 10-camera motion capture system and force platforms to do 2D/3D golf swing analyses along with other projects outside of golf including "Gait Kinematics, Balance, and Functional Outcomes Following Total Knee Arthroplasty" and "Evaluation of Musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Movement Control" in various clinical populations.
He has experience as a Lifetime Physical Activity and Fitness instructor, undergraduate level Golf instructor at East Carolina University and is currently the a Biomechanics instructor at Winston-Salem State University.
