I qualified as a chiropractor in 1992 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, prior to which I had spent 10 years working as a medical laboratory scientist, both as a civilian and in the Armed Forces. Over the last 24 years I have worked with athletes of all level; a golf long drive champion, numerous professional golfers as well as Muay Thai fighters and professional footballers, not to mention hundreds of amateur golfers and sportpeople.
My interest in golf and the body/swing connection has intensified over the last few years with an improvement in my own golf game and an increased awareness of the importance of physical fitness, mobility, swing mechanics and the need for good assessment and correction in both. Over their golf careers, most amateur golfers are happy to spend significant amounts on the next best way to hit more fairways, drive the ball further or be more accurate around the greens. The main area that most golfers neglect when looking at their equipment, however, is themselves. What are they actually capable of doing with their new equipment given their highly individual range of movement.
TPI screening is aimed at finding the weak links in your particular chain of movement thereby allowing us to help you to achieve those lower numbers and longer, more accurate shots while also gaining the benefits of a body working as it should. We will work closely with you to improve your mobility and strengthen your body whilst giving your golf professional the information he needs to to help you achieve your aim, whether that’s playing for longer, playing without pain or just playing better.
