I’m Dr. Michael Smith, founder of VIP PT in Forest Hill, Maryland. I help golfers address pain, improve mobility, build strength, and develop the physical capacity to support their game—whether they’re returning from an injury or looking to get more out of their time on the course.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy and TPI Certified Professional, I combine orthopedic rehabilitation, hands-on treatment, and individualized training. My approach starts with understanding your goals, injury history, and how your body moves. From there, we build a practical plan that connects your physical needs to the demands of golf.

That may mean getting through a round more comfortably, improving your ability to rotate, building strength and power, or returning to golf after surgery. When appropriate, I collaborate with your golf instructor to support what you’re working on in your lessons.

At VIP PT, my priority is to quarterback your health: help you understand what’s going on, guide your next steps, and provide ongoing support for your health and performance.

Based in Forest Hill and serving golfers throughout Bel Air and Harford County, I welcome players who want a personalized approach to moving, training, and playing better.
