Kathleen Kane MA, PT, ATC
Formerly a nationally-ranked collegiate gymnast and New England Patriot cheerleader, I am a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer with over 30 years of clinical experience treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries and designing performance enhancement, flexibility, balance, strength and conditioning programs for athletes ranging from novice to elite. As a member of the USA Gymnastics medical staff for numerous international events including the 1989 World Championships and 1996 Atlanta Olympics, my clients include over 100 professional athletes from the PGA Tour, NHL, MLB, NFL and U.S. Olympic teams.
With a passion for identifying root causes of functional restrictions, my core strength is recognizing areas in which patients compensate that often lead to or exacerbate injuries or reduce optimal performance. My commitment is to educate and inspire my patients toward fundamental daily modifications to produce lifelong results.
Driven by this commitment, I have produced several health-related shows for NBC and delivered lectures at over 100 venues including the U.S. Olympic Training Center, Fortune 500 corporations, Universities and for local sports and civic groups. In concert with USA Baseball, I also produced an instructional DVD, Proper Stretching and Conditioning for Baseball Injuries, with footage contributions from dozens of MLB athletes, coaches and medical professionals.
