Ted Heins

Originally from White Plains, New York, Ted's enthusiasm for the game stems from his upbringing in a golf household. His father, highly decorated tournament player Bobby Heins, was the Head Golf Professional at Old Oaks Country Club, in Purchase, New York for over 30 years. Following in his father's footsteps, Ted turned professional in 2007, shortly after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in English.
 
In the decade plus Ted has been a golf professional he has worked as the 1st Assistant at The Milbrook Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, Green Brook Country Club in North Caldwell, NJ, and most recently Innis Arden Golf Club, also in Greenwich. Ted has learned from some of the game's best instructors. He has received the U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Honorable Mention award several times and is a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach. He has also recently completed the coursework for Penn State's "Biomechanics of Golf - Introduction to 3D Motion Analysis", as well as the Level 1 certification for TrackMan. 
 
Ted also loves to compete. A frequent qualifier in the Metropolitan and New Jersey Sections, he was awarded the Gil McNally Most Improved Player Award in 2012. Ted's passion for golf is unbridled. When he's not playing he's likely exploring new culinary destinations and activities with his fiancé, or rooting for his beloved Florida Gators.
