Brent Shaver

Brent Shaver is a professional golfer and instructor based in Salt Lake City, Utah. As the Director of Instruction at Eaglewood Golf Course in North Salt Lake City, Brent combines a deep passion for teaching with years of experience to help golfers of all skill levels improve their game.

Brent’s journey in golf began as a caddie at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. His coaching career took root at the East Lake Junior Golf Academy, which later became First Tee East Lake. He has served on the board of directors for First Tee St. Petersburg, Florida, for seven years and is a Level III nationally certified First Tee Coach.

Brent’s teaching philosophy blends cutting-edge science with a simple and fun approach. He holds advanced certifications, including Level 1 and 2 Dr. Kwon Biomechanics School (#Kwonified), Level 1 TPI Golf, Level 1 GolfForever, Level 1 Sportsbox AI, Perfect Read Putting Trainer, and TrackMan University Certification. By leveraging biomechanics, technology, and tailored drills, Brent makes complex concepts easy to understand and enjoyable to learn.

With his warm and engaging personality, Brent fosters a supportive environment where students can develop confidence and skills at their own pace. Whether helping a beginner grasp the basics or guiding an advanced player to the next level, Brent makes every lesson approachable and rewarding.

Outside of golf, Brent is deeply involved in the community, volunteering for charities and veterans' organizations. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, rafting, and exploring the outdoors with his partner Alicia and their three dogs, Birdie, Bogey, and Divot.
