Daniel Stokes

Daniel Stokes, owner and sports physical therapist at North Dallas Physical Therapy, brings a wealth of experience to his practice with additions as a certified strength and conditioning specialist and collegiate strength and conditioning coach

Before establishing North Dallas Physical Therapy, Daniel honed his skills at esteemed institutions such as TCU, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Michael Johnson Performance. His coaching tenure spanned a diverse spectrum of athletes, from professional to youth levels, encompassing disciplines like Olympic, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, BMX, collegiate, and youth athletics.

Daniel's influence extends internationally, having worked with Chinese Olympic athletes in Guangzhou, China, where he provided training programs, presentations, and educational support to coaches and staff at the university.

During his seven-year tenure at Scottish Rite for Children, Daniel specialized in treating athletes aged 9-21, particularly excelling with rotational and overhead athletes. There, he played a pivotal role in expanding the physical therapy department from five therapists to a robust team of seventeen.

Daniel's academic journey began at West Texas A&M University, where he completed his undergraduate education, followed by a master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. He pursued his passion for physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX, culminating in the attainment of his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016.

Committed to excellence, Daniel remains an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association, and American Physical Therapy Association. His approach to care emphasizes precision, utilizing movement screens, strength testing, and biomechanical analysis to enhance athletes' movement proficiency, mitigate injury risks, and facilitate their return to sport with steadfast confidence.
